Drawing Room

One of the building's former Freemasons Lodge rooms, The Drawing Room, retains more extensive original wood panelling than almost any other space in Manchester Hall. The traditional character runs deep here, although the room accommodates contemporary styling for clients seeking a contrast between historic architecture and modern décor.

Standout Elements

The extensive original oak panelling creates authenticity that purpose-built venues cannot replicate. This was a working Masonic Lodge room where ceremonies occurred—a history that permeates the space.

Event Suitability

The Drawing Room's traditional character makes it particularly appealing for wedding ceremonies, with couples then transitioning through connecting doors to The Gallery for their wedding breakfast. Corporate clients use it for private receptions, smaller dinners, and as part of combined first-floor bookings.

Architectural Character

Heavy oak panelling wraps the walls, creating the solemn, inward-focused atmosphere Worthington designed for Masonic ritual. The room is located on the second floor, adjacent to The Museum and Club, with connecting doors to both The Gallery and The Club, allowing for combined events across multiple spaces.
